What makes an effective splash and squeeze page?

Today, November 10, Marci went over the key items that make a splash or squeeze page effective. First she identified the key items: the headline, the bullet points, and the call-to-action in the button or link.

She covered splash pages first, which, of course, don’t include the capture form, but use a button or link for the viewer to click on. We did a little brain storm for different emotion creating phrases to get the viewer to click it. She also went over using headlines that grab the viewers’ attention. Also, ways to word the features/benefits in the bulleted items.

She covered the squeeze pages pretty much the same way with a little brain storming for effective calls-to-action for the capture form button.
