Automation Makes Less Work

Today, Saturday September 28th, Marci’s topic was Automation Makes Less Work.

Today Marci covered several ways that you can trim your busy schedule by automation. For instance, outsourcing your surfing by letting your referrals earn your credits for you is a form of automation. The initial time you spend referring others to exchanges is a form of automation in itself!

Also, using an autoresponder to mail for you is also a form of automation Or how about some of the sites that automatically take care of a lot of the tedious tasks of using TEs and mailers? There’s more, but you’ll have to listen to the rest…

So come and check it out! There’s LOTS of great info and a little entertainment. You can listen to the Spreecast recording here:

You’ve Got the Power!

Today, Saturday September 14th, Marci’s topic was You’ve Got the Power!

Can or can’t? Do or don’t? That was Marci’s focal message. Do you or don’t you? Can you or can’t you? Are you focussed on the positive or the negative. You want to attract people that are like you. Do you use your power to attract the right people?

Your attitude and your tone come across in all the different avenues of the internet. You have the power to affect those who read or hear what you communicate on the internet. And in a global way. There’s no telling who on this earth just read your blog post, your email, your FaceBook post, or, or, or…

Or how you affected them by what you wrote or spoke…

Safelists and You

Today, Saturday September 7th, Marci’s topic was Safelists and You.

So of course, Marci started by pointing out that a safelist is basically just like a traffic exchange except the medium is emails instead of a surf frame. And many of the safelists and/or mailers also allow text and banner advertising.

That’s where some of the differences start to come into play. With a safelist (mailer), you have 3 main points of contact to connect with the viewer/reader. These are the subject, the main content, and the P.S.

How do you use each of these to your best advantage?

And what kind of page do you send your reader(s) to? Well, that depends on how much or little PRE-SELLING you did in your email. (You DID know that you’re only supposed to be teasing the reader to click to the next page, didn’t you?)

Tips for Spotting Top Exchanges

Today, Saturday August 31st, Marci’s topic was Tips for Spotting Top Exchanges

First tip: How old is the exchange? Is it at least a couple years old? There are tons of traffic exchanges and more opening all the time. Who has already survived the test of time? Everybody has/had to start somewhere but sooner or later you want to look at a track record.

Also, for exchanges that have chats, you may want to get an idea of the audience in there by socializing with the chatters to see if they’re of a like mind with you. (You can also check Alexa or Quantcast to get an idea of the site audience.)

What is a sure sign that your traffic won’t be seen soon by surfers? Listen to the recording. The answer is a common mistake by new TE owners.

A few more tips? What traffic exchange is great for promoting MLM’s? What traffic exchange is great for promoting traffic? The answers are in the recording!

Rotator Benefits and Tips

Today, Saturday August 24th, Marci’s topic was Rotator Benefits and Tips

Marci covered the use of rotators for site URLs mostly, but touched on banner rotators a little too. She went over a few do’s and don’t’s and a few strategies that you might not have thought of. Like separating your squeeze pages into one and your splash pages into another.

Targeting Your Audience

Today, Saturday August 17th, Marci talked about Targeting Your Audience.

First of all ask yourself: What am I selling and who am I selling it to?

Maybe even ask yourself: Who doesn’t want it?

Once you’ve answered those questions, then you can get a grasp on who your audience really is.

Secondly, where is your audience? Geographically speaking! If your product or program is specifically available only to certain countries or regions, make sure your audience knows that – eliminate viewers by making sure they know if it’s only available to, say, the U.S. or U.S. and Canada.

Now you can gear your advertising for them. But are they young? old? If your splash page or mail text is small then you’ve most likely just lost the older crowd.

What font(s) should you use? What colors shouldn’t you use? For what audience?

What is a Downline Builder and How do you use it Effectively?

Today, Saturday August 10th, Marci talked about what a downline builder is and how to use if effectively.

Marci defined a downline builder as a “single site that promotes several sites on the backend”.

She also went over some of the basics for setting up a downline builder and your list while still promoting you.

She first covered a few of the more popular downline builder sites: Affiliate Funnel (!), TE CommandPost, and TE Profits. She also told us how to build our own downline builder using just an autoresponder.

Tips to Keeping Your Business Secure

Today, Saturday August 3rd, Marci went over several ways to keep your business secure.

She started off the biggest and simplest security fix: Do not use the same password for all your sites. Use one of the password managers available to everyone and make them all unique! There’s Roboform, Lastpass, and Webroot SecureAnyWhere (which includes a password manager). These can all store your passwords securely. And you can generate strong passwords that contain letters, numbers, and special characters. Not just simple letters and numbers (or words) which are much easier to hack.

For social sites, your friends and members can often tell if a hacker is using your account. They don’t “sound” like you. Be yourself when texting in the social sites and the others can tell when it’s not you! Things you say, phrases you use, use of smilies, and some simple details about you that hackers don’t know are easy indicators that it’s NOT you.

She also covered site backups, CPanel issues, Word Press, and, believe it or not, your smart phone and/or iPod!

Follow Up Gold

Today, Saturday 27th, Marci went over some of the different ways that you can follow up with your customers/subscribers.

Of course, the obvious is setting up an email series with your list subscribers, but not everyone has an autoresponder right away. So some other methods were also covered.

Some of the other methods covered were blogs; social sites and social internet circles such as Face Book, Twitter, forums, and skype rooms; Online and Offline events; and even sending postcards.
