Today, Saturday November 2nd, The topic was We Love Splash Pages!<\/p>\n
Why? Because they are what works in Traffic Exchanges! People that don’t believe exchanges work either haven’t used splash pages, or haven’t used TEs at all.<\/p>\n
Most surfers are tab surfing. That leaves 1-2 seconds when the pages change and when the surfers click off of them to get their first impression. If all they see is a bunch of tiny words and a collage of images, then they’re not really seeing anything.<\/p>\n
This is where splash pages come in: Quick loading and quick and easy to see pages. Pages with a little bit of images to grab the viewers’ attention and just enough features\/benefits that they WANT to see.<\/p>\n
Marci got into a little more detail explaining how to get your images to load faster. She also reminded that your button should link to a new tab\/window so the viewer can easily get at the follow-on page(s).<\/p>\n
Then we gave feedback on several of the attendees’ splash pages. <\/p>\n
